Not up to their usual standard I’m afraid . I have been a few times for meals and Afternoon teas . I hate leaving a negative review but how can you improve if not told ..We had Afternoon tea . Waiting staff seemed rushed although it wasn’t overly busy. Tea was pored Into the wrong persons coffee mug Twice . Plates were mixed up . The two person middle plate was on the one person stand . One jam and clotted cream missing as well Sausage rolls were cold and truthfully not tasty at all . The server (older lady ) seems she didn’t know what she was doing .Not rude to a point but very dismissive when the drinks order didn’t arrive either .

Afternoon tea was very basic with staff quite confused with what was going on in the 1st place, mixing guests up and their dietary requirements. We were offered very small (soldier) fingers with cheese and tuna (very scarce filling) a few bland sausage rolls then a few cakes. The tea was offered as a cup, no teapot so if you wanted a refill you needed to ask. All in all food was ok but definitely had better!

Food was good, but they need to check about dietary requirements. My friend only had one sandwich and no sausage rolls as she is vegetarian. Also a teapot on our table to help ourselves rather than catching a waitress to refill from a flask.
Was good without being spectacular

Was shown a table immediately on entry at a busy and sold out lunchtime. Then a 20 min wait without seeing any staff which prompted us to enquire at the bar which resulted in waiting staff arriving.
Tea was poured for us (no pots?) and with an impressive array of bakes, certainly needed a top up. Again no staff on hand so we had to leave seats to seek.
That aside we would go back again and surprisingly full for a Wednesday.

This afternoon tea voucher was bought as a Christmas gift. My wife and I love afternoon tea and have have experienced many. This ranked as the worst by far. My wife is vegetarian and to our surprise the non veggie and vegetarian sandwiches arrived on the same plate. The finger sandwiches were shocking. I was given 3 small ham and tomato; my wife was given 3 egg. It is normal for there to be a selection of different fillings. My wife’s vegetarian sausage rolls were on the same plate as the cakes and had a dusting of icing sugar on them. The cakes were passible but some did not appear to be fresh. The service was poor and unattentive; I also had to chase up a waitress in order to get a refill of a cup of coffee. Very disappointed with the whole experience.
