Brunch was fantastic - generous and very tasty. We had the continental platter to start (comes as standard with brunch menu) which consisted of croissants, charcuterie, cheeses, jam and honey, as well as a glass of compote, yoghurt and granola. We then chose a hot dish - french toast and bacon and a vegan avo toast with mushrooms. My dairy-free requirement was easily accommodated, in fact nothing was too much trouble. Great staff, great relaxed vibe and a beautiful hotel. Lovely way to start the weekend :)

The team were most welcoming. They were attentive, friendly and helpful. We much appreciated them accommodating my preferences/tolerances. It was a very enjoyable brunch in a charming, relaxing venue. Thank you. L and T

Disappointing as menu did not reflect what was on the "sample menu" when we booked. Key to this was they had removed the full/vegetarian Scottish breakfast and porridge - and the options were eggs royale/eggs florentine or a veg mushroom dish. OK we understand things change but there was limited choice.
Our eggs were undercooked so sent them back and second time around were fine.
Not a lot of interaction with the staff. Lots of noise in the kitchen but nothing much happening in the restaurant - if you could call it that.....it was like an anti room to the restaurant.
A very boring ambience as we were in a corner - one facing the wall and the other facing a a partition - so no ambiance at all and felt as if we were in the "naughty corner".
A few other customers - who were not happy. So all in all not a great experience.
Sorry won't be recommending or returning. Whoever runs this place needs to up their game.

The people were nice but the food and coffee was very average. The food wasn't bad just nothing special. Coffee was bad, I think from a machine and weren't good beans.
You get a good amount because of the sharing platter (lots of cheese) but it's all just basic stuff I could make myself at home with higher quality ingredients.

Brunch was served in what seemed more like a corridor not the dining room. Beautiful building. Not relaxing as staff constantly walking past and setting tables for later dining. Woman at adjacent table talked incessantly and we could hear everything. Acoustics aren’t great.
Food was tasty, well presented but fairly small portions. Good value with Itison voucher. Coffee was very disappointing. We had high expectations and were somewhat disappointed. The fabric seat pad on my seat was stained.

Met with friends for Sunday brunch. Everything was really first class, from the seating area to the attentiveness of the waiting staff. And of course the food was delightful and tasty. A bit different with charcuterie board then main course with ideal selection, not a huge choice which suited us. No full Scottish offered, but that reflected in the price. All fully satisfied! Thank-you
