A Wonderful Experience From Start to Finsh

The food and service was second to none, on a rainy Tuesday night in Edinburgh the restaurant was full and no wonder and to top it all off the main man himself came out and went round every table a really nice touch - I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Service was first class, very attentive making you feel welcome and comfortable. Food was absolutely outstanding…totally faultless. We also had two of the most amazing cocktails before our lunch. Well done to everyone, a lot of hard work goes into to making this a truly fabulous experience. We will be back.

From the moment we arrived the whole experience was incredible. The surroundings, the staff, the food and the level of detail, from arrival to departure, was a step above anything we've been to before. There was no sense of not belonging or stuffiness that can be evident in other fine dining establishments. We felt welcomed, valued and the food was truly amazing. Like art on a plate that wasn't just "style over substance" Everything on each plate, while beautiful to look at, was also full of flavour and paired perfectly with each other to create dishes that were intense and perfect. Particular highlights were the "Cullen skink" and "Mushroom" starters the "beef" main and the "rhubarb crumble" souffle dessert (and the fabulous little surprise extras were mouth watering and delicious)
It was worth every penny and we would love to return one day.

From the minute you arrive every attention to detail and friendly welcome. Plates of food presented well and delicious. Good choices on menu. We added the wine pairings and enjoyed the variety of wines explained by the sommelier. Highly recommend this restaurant!
