Disappointing with poor service
Reviewed on
When the afternoon tea was served, we had no cutlery or plates which we had to ask for. There is unlimited tea and coffee but we had to follow up with them on where our tea/coffee was. There was no explanation on what the afternoon tea items were. The food was okay but nothing special. Overall there are better places to go to in Glasgow.
Spent a lovely afternoon enjoying afternoon tea with a difference.

We loved the views of course but the afternoon tea was fab - a lovely selection of finger foods and delicious coffee. A comfortable place to spend quality time together x All the staff were terrific, attentive helpful professional - felt like they were happy to be working there.
Really good value, atmosphere and nothing was a bother.

It was a great experience and good value. The selection was nice and a wee bit different but really enjoyable. Staff were really helpful and attentive.
Good savouries, no cakes!

The staff were lovely and we were greeted warmly. Room was very cold but they did try to fix this when mentioned. Savoury food was lovely but very oddly, not one cake! Afternoon tea is traditionally finger food but we were given a panna cotta to eat and a jelly with no cutlery. Jelly was dreadful… so tasteless and felt like a very cheap filler. Dry profiterole and panda cotta was very bland. Scone nice and coffee nice. Milkshake a nice touch but over sweet.
View lovely afternoon tea average

Stunning views over the Clyde

Great afternoon tea with a view overlooking the Clyde and the Hydro. Food was excellent and the drinks really good with great customer service with the only negative being uncomfortable seats.
Not up to our expectations

Only thing we liked was sausage rolls, small scone served with one small jar of cream and 1small jam didn't think mango smoothie is a particularly good choice noticed quite a few were returned nor the brick hard chunk of bread with sprinkled herbs nor the bread with a very small piece of ham, obviously yous had a glut of raspberries for cakes. This tea might be for some definitely not us.
Excellent view, average afternoon tea

Haven’t been before, purchased as part of a birthday gift. Arrived 10mins before booking to be told they weren’t open, no please make your way back to the lobby or sorry we can’t seat you just “sorry we’re not open”.
After heading back down stairs to wait we headed back up and seated straight away. Nice table by the window, though low table and heavy chairs not very practical. Placed our order then waited and waited. Finally after nearly 45mins (no staff around) asked about our order only to be told we had been forgotten about.
Finally, got our drinks and offered a cocktail each as an apology for the mix up.
When afternoon tea arrived each part described. It was an ok afternoon tea, the highlight being the haggis sausage rolls.
Excellent afternoon tea with a stunning view

First, the view from the rooftop bar at the venue is stunning, looking downstream over the Clyde, with the Finneston Crane and the Flying Saucer in the foreground. The tea itself was fantastic too. As people who have made a hobby of trying Glasgow afternoon teas, we were very impressed. Firstly, even though the fact that we're vegetarians had somehow been missed, they very quickly took away the meaty one and had a veggie version within just a few minutes. Very professional.
And the savoury layer wasn't just finger sandwiches, but again, some thought had been put into it. There was a toasted focaccia with pesto; veggie gyozas; lettuce wraps with quinoa in a flavoursome sauce; and mini mac and cheese burgers. All very tasty. The scones were mini, but to compensate, there were little bottles of mango smoothie, topped with candy floss. And the sweet layer was delicious as well.
The one thing that I was disappointed by was that we only got a single (not huge) cup of tea, rather than a pot.
Currently this is 4.5* rounded down. Throw in a pot of tea and I'd have no hesitation in pushing this to a full 5*.
