Lovely friendly staff but very limited menu on the overnight deals

Arrived on a Friday teatime and greeted at reception by two lovely ladies who were so helpful.
Checked into our room and packed our swimming items and went to the pool and spa. The guy at the desk said its £7 each to use the pool.
Our itison voucher said access to the pool so we didn't expect to pay another £14 to use it!
So we left and went to the bar, enjoyed our complimentary bottle of house wine.
We later went for our evening meal and told the waiter we were on the overnight deal with breakfast and 3 course dinner so he took the menu off us and came back with another printed sheet of paper and the choices were so disappointing
Only 3 options for main course
One of which was sausage and mash and the other was chicken curry with rice. We both opted for the curry which was okay but all brown meat which we don't eat so we left that.
The garlic mushrooms starter was lovely and sticky toffee pudding for dessert was nice too.
The hotel overall was okay but noisy at night with kids running around unsupervised, however there was a wedding party and it was also Gosforth races too and the hotel was full.
Maybe just bad timing but for those reasons, we wouldn't return for a leisurely break, although we'd consider it again to use it for airport parking in the future.

lovely hotel, beautiful grounds, got an upgraded bedroom, staff were kind and helpful and dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Bathroom sink was cracked and a bit dirty as was bath.
Everything else was good, staff very pleasant and helpful, food was fab, we made use of Spa which was great

Really good value little treat. We enjoyed the spa area and the breakfast was excellent. All of the staff were really kind and helpful, we even got an upgrade when we mentioned that it was my friend‘s birthday treat. Only complaint would be that it could’ve been a little bit cleaner, very dusty light fittings and behind bedside table when I pulled it out after dropping something, and dirty grout in the bathroom, but otherwise nice clean bedding and comfortable bed.

Wonderful friendly staff, comfortable good sized room, clean enough suite with good shower and bath. Perfect location for exploring the area. Large free car park.
No air con but did get 2 fans.

I generally use an Itison voucher deal when staying at this hotel. Dog friendly but it’s a bit pricey although this charge seems to be creeping up everywhere. Very good value with deal.
I would say the hotel is starting to become a bit tired looking.

A lovely stay, ok the hotel is not the most modern and could do with some updating but it’s clean, staff are excellent and very helpful, bistro bar food was very nice indeed and good size portions.
The pool is not big if you want a really good swim but fine to do a few lengths, loungers and chairs were available but probably not enough of them but it’s not a big area so I understand that, has a large jacuzzi, steam room, plunge pool and sauna.
The rooms were a little dated but very clean, a king size bed in the double room, could have done with a hairdryer but on the plus side a nice bath was a nice change.
Lots of free parking! & our deal included free access to the pool/spa area, normally it would have been £7.00 per guest so nice touch!
Overall great value, a break on a budget.

Have stayed here before - warm welcome from friendly staff
comfortable and clean room but VERY warm due to weather conditions and large windows in room which we couldn't open - however the hotel had provided fans - a floor standing one and a desktop so helped us to be cooler - a dip in the swimming pool at the spa also helps
bar meals were tasty and good sized portions
we always enjoy our stays here and it is a bonus when an itison deal is available to use
