Having stayed there previously was very surprised and dissapionted with 5he checking process. We knew check says 3 pm and although we were early arrived around 1.30 pm we were happy to be able to leave overnight bag that is when the fun started. We were allocated room 708 as was on the bag receipt when checking in we confirmed the voucher was bed and breakfast with a bottle of proceco this took a few minutes to be confirmed and we were told it would not be in room and was given a voucher to collect at the bar. We left to do some shopping and returned around 2.30 pm , approached checking to see if room was ready , no luck so the bar it was with our proceco voucher. 3.10 pm back to checking sorry room you requested still not ready , I explained we had not requested any specific room this one was allocated. Receptionist said she would let us know when room ready.
Finally 3.35 pm two hours after arriving room was ready , my personal option due to people checking in 3verytime we approached reception if you book direct they certainly get preferential treatment.

Friendly staff in reception and bar. Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast on offer was very good. I’d have no hesitation in staying again or recommending a stay here to others.
Central Hotel

Central hotel in the heart of Aberdeen. Rail and bus terminals right there. Also Union Square shopping centre. Perfect.
Wouldn’t use any other hotel in Aberdeen unless it was unavailable.

Lovely hotel great location and the staff are brilliant and always ready to help with anything.
The only thing we came across that could be changed is the seats in the bar at the windows they seem to have lost the stuffing and is hard to get out of them if your older.
Hotel location and breakfast were excellant. However room (118) was awful

My wife cannot use lifts so we requested a lower floor.. Our voucher was for a superior room But we were told there are no superior rooms on the first floor and we were allocated room 118. This room is situated immediately above the Edinburgh and Glasgow bus stances and is quite noisy when buses are arriving and departing The window was absolutely filthy and had clearly not been washed for some time. There was tea and coffee facilities but no biscuits or snacks. We booked a double room , but this room had a single bed up against the double bed making the room quite tight for space.
This was our first visit to Aberdeen and got confused as to the location of the hotel main entrance. We suggest that your hotel description advises guests that the main entrance is located inside the shopping centre and up an escalator.
