The hotel is quite old and that causes problems in trying to upgrade ie. Lifts can't be installed making it very difficult to navigate the stairs especially for older people, this should be considered whern booking. The noise was very bad we though the builders were working during the night. The staff were excellent, very attentive, and Kiki was very good.
Underwhelming end to the weekend

Deal was very good for the Inveraray in but there seems to be a lack of staff for the number of customers and facilities that the venue has to offer. Long wait for drinks in the public bar with only one bar staff working. Breakfast was abandoned after we waited 25 minutes then were missing eggs on both plates; after waiting a further 20 minutes we gave up and ate elsewhere. Setting was lovely but they seem to be stretching the staff too thin.

Room very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and of very good quality. Evening meals were very good and the menu had quite a good range of meals. My only gripe was that my medium sirloin steak (at £32) although very tasty was quite chucky - my steak knife found it difficult to cut through the steak and my jaws were quite sore after working hard to chew my way through the steak. It certainly wasn't a melt in the mouth steak.
On positive notes - the rooms were spotless. The staff very very friendly and helpful. Waiting times between ordering and being served meals both breakfasts and main evening meals was excellent - in fact the food arrived very quickly after it was ordered.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff

Used our vouchers for a weekend away with friends in January. The hotel is good value for money - friendly staff, good breakfast with plenty choice. We didn't eat there in the evening but a lot of people did and seemed happy, the bar was busy. We were given vouchers for prosecco, which went down well, and the beer in the public bar were on offer, so everyone was happy! We upgraded to Loch View rooms and they were fine, clean and well-equipped, although one of them had a small double bed, which could be improved. The tiny shower-heads were a pain though! Good location, easy parking. All in all, great value for money.
