My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to the Red Onion for Sunday Roast. Food most enjoyed and would certainly recommend.

Staff friendly, service excellent, food good and well presented.
We enjoyed our meal very much and considered it good value in a pleasant venue.
After dining I used the toilet and was glad I'd not visited toilet prior to meal or I would have walked out immediately because I tend to equate the state of toilets to that of the kitchen and this sole toilet was rank.
The toilet doubles as staff changing room so staff personal belongings lying about insecurely.
The sink actually had a big broken hole in it and the area was certainly not clean or in keeping with the dining venue standard of decor.
It was more in keeping with a derelict slum.
The one unisex toilet let the red onion down from good food to very bad toileting.

Great Sunday lunch, every individual item of food was delicious and the gravy was to die for. Good service and pleasant atmosphere as always.

Meal was excellent, large portions and all cooked to a high standard, service was professional and attentive without being obtrusive - wine was excellent although beer options were limited and expensive (small negative)
Disappointing and upsetting

The waitress spilled half a bottle of ginger beer on my husband’s trousers and jumper. Accidents happen.She did apologise and cleaned the table.
So our lunch was uncomfortable for us both but more so my husband.
On paying our bill she asked if we had enjoyed the meal and apologised again when I said no.
I am disappointed the manager did not come to apologise.

Once again we had a delicious meal at Red Onion. Great food choice, good portion size and staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Not been for a few years so was keen to try it out again. The food was great and the staff so friendly.
Will certainly be back.
