Great food and great deal.

Tucked away in the heart of Glasgow, Chop Grill & Bar delivered a genuinely enjoyable dining experience that exceeded expectations—especially considering it was booked through an Itison deal.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere struck a perfect balance between relaxed and stylish. The interior has a modern, slightly upscale feel without being pretentious, making it ideal for both casual catch-ups and a slightly more special evening out. Staff were welcoming and attentive throughout, checking in at the right times without ever being overbearing.
The Itison deal itself was excellent value and didn’t feel like a “reduced” experience in any way. The food was well-presented and full of flavour, with good portion sizes that left us more than satisfied. What really elevated the evening, though, was the drinks. We enjoyed a few cocktails, each one well-made and nicely balanced—not overly sweet or watered down like you sometimes find. Alongside that, we shared a bottle of rosé which was crisp, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal.
Service continued to impress as the night went on, with staff maintaining a friendly and efficient approach even as the restaurant became busier. There was a nice buzz in the place without it ever feeling too loud or crowded.
Overall, Chop Grill & Bar offers great quality, a welcoming atmosphere, and fantastic value for money—especially if you manage to secure a deal. It’s definitely somewhere we’d return to, both for the food and the drinks alone.
Disappointing desert

My experience of chop grill this time was a bit disappointing. We upgraded the steak main as we usually do which was excellent as always. The disappointing bit was the deserts which were half the size of normal. I questioned a couple of the waitresses regarding the size, to be told that it was because we were using a voucher. I paid for a two course, not one and a half. I certainly wouldn’t recommend Chop now because of this.

Not great value

I felt the portion sizes were very small and that I wasn’t really saving any money by buying this voucher. Service was quite slow too, wouldn’t bother again

Excellent Food and Excellent Service

The food in this Restaurant was absolutely first class, I had the Chicken with the Ribs and it was delicious, the others in the party had steaks and were very impressed.
We all had Sticky Toffee Pudding and the portions were huge and delicious.
Charming venue.

Sided with the ITISON starter, steak and two glasses of wine for two. The default steak is a 7 oz Sirlion but you can ‘upgrade’ for an extra charge. The quality of the food was very good and the quantity was right for us. We picked the white wine which was of a reasonable quality. Staff were attentive and charming.
One small gripe I added a pint of larger to the ‘bill’ and on receipt of the bill it was noted that there was a 10% service charge including the value of the ITISON deal. I didn’t challenge this surcharge as I was going to tip the staff anyway.
In summary a charming and relaxing experience.
Great service and the food was fantastic. Worth the money and will definitely be going again!
