My husband and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and stayed in one of the amazing Shepherds Huts with our black Labrador which I would highly recommend. From the moment we arrived until the time we left we were made to feel very welcome, staff were all lovely, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much. Accommodation was unbelievable nothing like we'd ever stayed in before where the finer details didn't go unnoticed. The food was absolutely delicious so huge compliments to the chef. Breakfast was equally as good and we even managed to enjoy it al fresco where our Labrador joined us in the warm sunshine and also enjoyed a sausage from the chef! I can't emphasise enough how brilliant all the staff are so all credit to their General Manager.
Huge potential but surprising mistakes

Set up is really good and potential is huge. The huts are lovely and grounds of the hotel are great.
However badly let down by some aspects. Bath in room had a problem with plug so did not work. Cleaning was superficial and despite me raising co cents hotel has never responded.
Still think potential is huge and these should be resolvable so would go again.

From the moment we arrived it was just perfect. We started with afternoon tea which was superb and what we couldn’t eat we got to take away all nicely boxed up for later.
Our accommodation was very nice and had a sitting room, bedroom and lovely bathroom with a huge bath and also a separate shower.
On our second evening we had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant followed by a nice local Gin in the bar.
Breakfast on both days was amazing with a good selection available.
We will definitely be back

Had a lovely overnight stay, upgraded our room, which was nice, but was right up in the eves and there was no lift. The supplement was £30. Dinner was included and was delicious. Drinks were pretty expensive and there was a service charge added to the bill, which we hadn’t seen. When I questioned this after payment, I was told it was optional. I requested a refund, purely because I wasn’t asked.

Nice, well run hotel . We had breakfast 2 mornings and evening meal ,food was excellent . We had our dog with us and hotel staff couldn’t have been friendly to him .. we will stay at hotel again

We have been to Rufflets before and it never disappoints. Friendly staff excellent food and a lovely room. Beautiful garden to walk round or sit with a drink.
