Second visit to rufflets and we had a great Sunday lunch. Excellent service from the staff and all in a beautiful setting, the gardens are stunning and well worth a wander after a very fulfilling lunch! Looking forward to returning soon.

Lovely setting and friendly, attentive staff. We had an Itison voucher which included a glass of prosecco each. When the waitress came to take our drinks order, this wasn’t mentioned and I had forgotten about it until I got home. We asked for a couple glasses of champagne and ai would ave expected the waitress to bring the bottle to the table and pour it there rather than bringing s two, by then, unidentifiable glasses of fizz…it was nice but I have no idea what it was.
We both had the turkey roast which was a lovely texture but lacked flavour all round…some stuffing or a more flavourful gravy would have helped. The veg were a bit soft and the potatoes could have been crisper.
Crème Bruner and sticky toffee pudding were very good.
We ordered coffee..my partner a latte and myself a decaf flat white. When they arrived, they both look like cappuccinos and were indistinguishable. I am afraid that your coffee tastes bitter and burned and mine was fr from a flat white. We didn’t drink them.
I don’t usually give negative feedback but I think that you have the makings of a very good product with a few tweaks so there it is. I can see the next questions and my answer would have to be a reluctant no…it’s a shame as so much was very good :)

We felt very well looked after throughout. Waiting staff were all very nice and attentive. The food was excellent (best steak I’ve had in years) and of high quality and beautifully presented. Lovely surroundings and great views of the beautiful gardens. Would highly recommend.

All four of us enjoyed our menu choices and the service was superb. Afterwards we explored the gardens which were another treat. Would recommend & return!
