The hotel is a bit tired and needs a bit of upgrading.
The staff however make it a friendly welcoming experience.
Good breakfast. There was a limited dinner menu on our visit.
Comfortable bed and a good sized bedroom.
A hotel with lovely views.

The hotel staff were wonderful especially the waiting staff. The room was spotless and quiet. The bed was comfortable and warm.
The bathroom in room 124 , which faces the car park and pathway with walkers has clear glass in some of the panes of the window, we had to pull the shower curtain over and secure it to have privacy.
The TV is the smallest I’ve ever seen in any hotel.
Both of these could use a bit of attention.
Great experience.great value for money

Again another great stay at the hotel. Takes no time to walk down to the town with plenty of pubs that served some great looking meals. We had a very tasty meal in the hotel. Weather was excellent and gave terrific views to Ireland and Isle of Man. Took a walk from the hotel after breakfast, up hill road from the entrance to find some more excellent views. Again a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Due to staff illness, the (only) girl in the breakfast room was kept busy. She was pleasant with a smile and nothing appeared to be a bother even taking time to ask each breakfast table if everything was ok. The only annoying thing , which has nothing to do with the hotel or its staff was 2 dog mess bags left on the stairs from the terrace to the car park. Noticed before our morning walk and still there when we left the hotel 2hrs later. Don't think it’s too much to ask especially if your dogs are allowed to take their mess away.
Pleasant staff, hotel badly needing upgraded.

Met by a very pleasant girl in reception, explained everything well, rooms very dated, tea & coffee, shower over bath, tiny tv, comfy bed.
First morning at breakfast ran out of most things, waited 15 minutes for porridge, not a good experience, poor boy working alone, dinner both nights ok, pleasant girl serving.
All in all an ok experience, very pleasant staff, view over Portpatrick superb.
A very relaxing stay with good food and service

The hotel is well located with spectacular uninterrupted views across the North Channel. The room was comfortable and clean although some of the windows need replacing. The evening meal and breakfast were of a decent standard. Overall I enjoyed my stay and have no reservations in recommending the hotel
Comfortable bed with basic amenities however good location and beautiful views

The rooms are dated, but spacious with everthing we needed. The staff were friendly and chatty. We had food included in our stay and it was tastey, although the mash potato was a bit reminicent of school dinners. The bar in the hotel has a great outlook over the harbour and was cheaper than the bars in town. The hotel is on a very steep slope. Our car parking was also included.
Poor experience.

Shower was at best Luke warm and breakfast was extremely poor as the cooked breakfast was obviously cooked earlier and left to dry out and end up burnt.
Great stay
