Disappointing

Firstly our room along with many others wasn’t ready till 5. I also rebooked an executive room by phone & also asked the receptionist on the day. Upgrade was to be £20 but no executive room was allocated. Then the television didn’t work. I just used my phone. Checkout was brusque, tv reported but no did you enjoy your stay or sorry about lack of television. I already heard a guest on check in say he didn’t have tv reception so wasn’t surprised. On the plus side breakfast and dinner were both lovely.
Excellent from staff, restaurant, bedroom and beautiful grounds

It would be to easy to criticize the hotel as we arrived during a Wedding reception which obviously slowed service down, other than that we (me, wife and dog) were very happy with the visit
Nice leisurely break

The hotel is certainly a lovely venue for a wedding. We had asked for a twin room and were delighted with the size. However, the safe did not work and although we reported it straight away it was not fixed. We used the leisure facilities which were very nice. On returning to our room to shower, unfortunately we had no hot water in the bathroom sink - in fact the tap was very loose! However, there was no problem with the shower. On going down for dinner, we informed reception about the very loose hot tap in the bathroom. We were offered to change our room but declined as we would be leaving in the morning. Overall I felt the hotel was more a 3 star than a 4 star. However, we enjoyed our dinner and the leisure facilities so might give it another try in the future.

A friendly, clean and convenient, almost hidden gem 15 mins from the Queensferry Crossing

Just completed my second stay in as many months. Thanks to Itison once again for
unearthing a new, relaxing hideaway and letting my partner and I discover it's charm.First stay was a wonderful Itison 2 night DB&B offer in February.Despite major technical problems in the kitchen and one floor/bar staff member continually hiding from guests as it was her last ever shift (ha ha quite funny really looking back)neither hiccup could spoil our romantic getaway. The hotel is a very comfortable and cosy 4 star with an equally deserved 4 star pool and spa amenities. One of the nicest we have experienced via Itison. Lovely, spacious, superior double room and COMFY BED!
Quite a few friendly staff faces incl.Nicola (reception)Amanda (restaurant) Courtney(floor/bar) and Kirsty (events) thanks very much.
Our 2nd stay was a family reunion, coincidentally during my birthday last week. The hotel, graciously for this occasion agreed to match Itison and we booked for 13 people.Nicola offered us a wonderful package, which we couldn't refuse.Although another much larger event was taking place in the hotel on Saturday evening, this included our own, small private function room, which meant we could have a little ceilidh, whilst being looked after by our own 2 genteel staff members (Maya and waiter with moustache).
All in all 2 great experiences and not enough teething problems to deduct stars.
Bravo Keavil House! Bravo Itison!
We'll be back.

Our room was very good. The leisure area was excellent. Unfortunately. the food was below the standard expected of Keavil House.
Loved it, especially the gym and pool

The hotel was welcoming but the bar area to sit wasn’t great. The room was clean and comfortable. The gym and the pool were great.
Very nice.

A very comfortable country house hotel which met all our needs more than adequately.
Good but no wifi or phone signal in my room

Good. Dog tolerant rather than dog friendly. Not sure how they could justify the dog charge.
My room was awful for weif andphone signal. Room 47.
Good food. Great breakfast
