Lovely hotel but we were woken at 8.30am by work people with no pre warning

The hotel was lovely - comfy bed, newly renovated rooms and breakfast was decent. We were attending the Utilita Arena so this was a perfect location.
The downside was the noise in the room. It sounded like there was a broken air conditioning on. When I went to find the unit there wasn't one. At 8.30am we were awoken to a loud noise which sounded like it was coming from the room next door. We called down to reception and the Manager explained there was works on the 6th floor (we were on the 7th) but she would check this out as it was earlier than they should have started. We didn't hear anything back about this and the sound continued. We went downstairs and the manager advised she had checked this out and it was work on the roof. She said she had asked them to stop but they clearly hadn't listened to her. I thought she may have chapped our door to update us or we would have been sent an email prior/warned at check-in about renovation works to the roof or floor below us. The manager apologised but didn't appear to bothered after that.

I have stayed here before 4 years ago and the rooms have been upgraded. They are lovely, modern, and clean, they accommodate everything you need, iron, hairdryer, coffee machine. The smell from the wardrobe was amazing!
The staff are so lovely and accomodating.
Think we got upgraded to a spacious room! 😊
Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from, and the location was 5 mins from train station and highstreet!
Will definatley book this hotel in the future and recommend to family & friends.
Leonardo's Newcastle was a fantastic break away, and revamp has made it so much better to stay in, first class.

We had stayed in the Leonardo Hotel in Newcastle before, but this time it was much better. They are going through a £5,000,000 revamp, but you would never know it, never heard anything, no noise where we were.
Upstairs where our room was had already been revamped, and what a difference, new carpets, new decor in the room and so comfortable.
Great value for the money, would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights between the 27-29th of August for a friend’s wedding. 2 adults and our toddler. I must say the staff couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.

fabulous hotel, always a very warm welcome. Hotel refrubishment of rooms is fabulous, we were on 7th floor, everything brand new and spotlessly clean in room. Reception staff are very helpful, friendly and on hand to supply any extra tea etc.

The buffet breakfast was great. I would have been happier with a bit more choice. The cooked stuff was the same every day and also it would have been good to have a choice of bread/rolls.

The hotel and staff were excellent and our stay was lovely once we sorted our room allocation. The code issued to the hotel by ItisOn was for a standard double not a superior double stated when purchasing our voucher.. Big thanks to the duty manager (Brian) who sorted it out and upgraded us to a superior King size room which worked out great for us 😊
