terrible food nice room

Room was big but empty! Severe lack of furniture view was outstanding. Food was terrible, breakfast was always cold and inedible, just made toast. Had dinner one night and it was worse! Microwaved slop served up as dinner, left most of the food and went to the chippy!

The good point about the Ro are the staff at reception and in dining room after that it goes downhill.
The hill from main drag requires you to be part mountain goat its that steep.
Having paid extra for signature room the view of lake was very limited,the room was on 3rd floor which required walking along undulating hall into a wheelchair lift exit on first floor along 2 sets of doors and short corridors to access lift to 3rd floor .
Problem with en suite floor was sloped which water from shower tray escsped flooding floor .
As part of package dinner was allocated first night standard of cuisine wasn't good standard.
The pakora was 4 small peices of deep fried substance which was soft as if purchased ftom freezer store.
The chicken curry was tasteless bore no semblance to what you would expect as sauce lacked taste and texture .

Our stay at The Ro was a great. Nice clean room, well catered for. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was enjoyable. The spa was pleasant, but there wasn’t a steam room or sauna.
The terrace out the front of the hotel was so peaceful and had lovely views. The house wine was a winner.

Yes we did enjoy the Ro hotel we had a lovely room. The staff were all excellent. We would say that the menu was good. But could be improved by maybe adding a steak. Also could offer a free car park. Overall we did enjoy our visit to the Ro hotel.p

Disappointed having to pay £10 per day for parking. Website states limited free spaces however payment required for all spaces. Surrounding accommodation all had free parking for residents.

The hotel and staff were excellent and very close to centre. Only downside is the £10 a night parking charge.
Good buffet English breakfast but not real continental choice.
Evening menu limited, but salmon was delicious and we ate out second night-5 minute stroll.

We stayed for 2 nights during the May heatwave. All staff we encountered were kind and friendly and helpful when needed. Our room was spacious and clean with spectacular views! I only wished we had upgraded to a balcony room.
The breakfast was ideal in the morning and the coffee was great!
We sadly never made it to the health club but heard it was great too!
