Everything top notch - except the food was just a little disappointing!!

Everything was top notch - the location of Brewhemia in Edinburgh city centre and therefore easy to reach by public transport, the layout of seating inside Brewhemia was very relaxing, the staff Lisa and Oscar were very attentive, and there was a a very positive 'buzz' from Brewhemia being very busy, and with non stop music playing - the only slight negative was that the afternoon tea food was a bit disappointing with no large size munchy sandwiches as normally included with Afternoon Teas - however I will be looking forward to my next visit to Brewhemia!! Been many times , but although the savoury plate was beautiful, we had 4 large scones(2 cheese, 2 fruit,) they were too well fired and too big. The cake selection was all chocolate items with I lemon tart. Could do better.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at Brewhemia. Staff were very attentive & kept us supplied with plenty of tea refills. An excellent selection of savoury & sweet treats.

Disappointing afternoon tea

Been several times before but this is no longer worth the money. £50 supposedly worth £74 for a not very good afternoon tea. One roll had a few leaves and a thin slice of tomato, the other some leaves and bit of walnut - no cheese, meat or an other filling. The ‘sausage’ roll was veggie and tasteless. Two hard scones (neither of us ate more than a half of one) with a tiny amount of jam and even smaller amounts of cream. The top tier had several tiny cakes which were nice. The music was also blasting so impossible to talk. I’d taken a friend and was embarrassed
Great!
