We visited off season so we had plenty of time to spend with the dogs, grooming them and giving belly scratches. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and the huskies are obviously very well cared for. It was very interesting hearing about the racing and we will be back to try sledding in the autumn!

Great time our boys fell in love with the huskies! Parent be warned, get ready for the begging for a husky puppy! Ha ha!

Better than expected as didn’t expect to be able to pet so many husky’s. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Info film was very interesting.

Interesting hour spent grooming the huskies they are brilliant dogs.

No toilet facilities so do make sure you go before visiting. The owner is very welcoming and his story was really interesting. Didn’t like the attempted selling aspect though either to fund a bag of dog food, vouchers for sale as well as overpriced items eg.keyrings etc. Dogs very well cared for and might be good to try the sled in the winter time.

I hate to say this but it wasn’t good. We paid for 1hr. Got 15-20 mins with the husky dos then a
30 min video and then q&a with the owner who had raced in Alaska/canada with a different breed of huskies he borrowed 15 years prior. It was a hard sell to lots of ways of buying and donating things but no info about the current breed, the breeding programme. Was focused on the nostalgia of 15 years ago not today and don’t mean to come across as uncaring but he talking about losing his wife and the media campaign all those years ago at some length. The video was old and not that relevant to today’s tour or the breed of huskies in his his kennels. The kids were very bored and wanted to see the dogs. We got 10 mins max including feed of the dogs after the video but such a long way to travel and yes we were disappointed. They asked a few times for us to help him find ways of making more money :-(
Missed opportunity

Unfortunately the weather was bad on our planned day so we had to cancel. This was not well received at Husky Haven so that was a shame. With the deadline upon us we won’t go - just a bit of disorganisation on our part, but a warmer response would have made us more enthusiastic about trying again to book.
I feel my responses are harsh but the choices being yes/no don’t give a fair reply
