We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Monteviot. The gardens are extensive and beautifully laid out. We have visited many gardens over the years and this one was definitely the best! The lady who welcomed us was charming and helpful which we think is important. We bought a bottle of their apple juice from the honesty cabin and it was delicious. The whole experience was unforgettable.

I thought the opening times from 12-4pm was a bit restrictive, however there was plenty of time to get around, well maintained gardens, lovely clean toilets, perhaps a coffee shop would have made the experience a bit better. Very friendly staff who explained everything and took the time to engage with you personally.
A hidden gem - better than Alnwick Castle and Falkland Palace gardens which we've recently visited!

My visit exceeded expectations. The layout and planting of the different areas within the garden was excellent. Excellent signposting. No suggestions for improvements.

Absolutely stunning gardens, easy parking, toilets and plenty of seating areas all around, very friendly staff. The most beautiful gardens, you follow numbered arrows so you don't miss all the hidden spaces. Every corner you get a hidden gem/a wow moment. You can feel the care and time taken in the gardens, all the plants and flowers were flourishing in July, full of colour. I am so glad they had this voucher, this will be my new favourite place to visit.

What a wee hidden gem. My friend & I were blown away by the beauty of the gardens.We didn’t ho into the house as it is closed on a Monday , the day we went . Highly recommended a visit .
