However one major problem inadequate signposting, we have been customers of the house for an art lover for some years and we still managed to find all the false roads in attempting to reach the cafe so frustrating and once again we missed out on the house tour due to a wedding taking place.Staff as always excellent.

We went for brunch and tour of the house.
Planned our day out, on arrival we were asked if we wanted to have brunch first or do the tour first.
We had our brunch first then went to find out about tour. We were told that the tour was unavailable as there was a private function on in the house.
The lady showed us where the information was hidden on the website but unless you knew to look for it and where to find it it, you would never have known.
The food and service in the cafe were excellent and we were given a voucher to go back and visit at a later date.
Just be careful when you book that it's open to the public. We were advised they can close at a week's notice or shorter if they have a funeral. on.
Enjoyable. Nice relaxed atmosphere with very nice staff

Very enjoyable. Had brunch menu. Nothing suited on menu so lovely young man serving arranged for an alternative of toast with tuna. Staff very nice , well mannered and attentive.
I would suggest some plain items on menu such as toast or something like a chicken/tuna sandwich to accommodate people with stomach issues.
Roast lunch not great

The roast potatoes were brick hard, the yorkshire pudding was dense & the roast beef was tough & overcooked. We also had to ask for gravy as the dish was very dry. The waiter was very pleasant & efficient just a pity he asked me how my lunch was.
Cafe excellent but House was closed.

My sister and I booked Brunch and House Tour. On arrival we were told the House was closed, despite our booking being accepted. The cafe staff were apologetic and we enjoyed an excellent brunch. We were given a voucher for the tour which meant we had to return. We did this recently, having telephoned the day before to check the House would be open. We arrived to find the House closed again! The lady who told us was far from apologetic this time. We will not try a third time. The House tour arrangements are handled a very unprofessional manner.
Excellent. Lovely, friendly staff

This was a great voucher the tour takes around 45 minutes if you listen to the entire audio recording and it was a very relaxed but welcoming atmosphere
Brunch was great nice choices on the it is on menu and staff were friendy
An enjoyable experience but Breakfast Tea was better than the brunch .

Breakfast tea with Mimosa was very good but the sauce with Eggs Benedict & Balmoral offerings at Brunch the next week was rather stodgy . Staff were pleasant and helpful and offered a substitution which friend accepted . Lovely surroundings but don’t think perhaps the food is quite the same standard as when last there for Breakfast type food about a year ago .
Brilliant day

The roast dinner was delicious and all 6 of us returned empty plates. Staff were so attentive and the lady who provided guidance regarding the tour was definitely in the right job. She was so happy me helpful.
