Been here several times before and always enjoyed it but this time we didn't really get to choose our sandwich filling as was told it was chef's choice. Feel there should be a list of fillings to choose from. This has never been an issue before

We had a retirement afternoon tea for 12 people and it was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful in phone calls and emails before we arrived, attentive to dietary requirements and so pleasant on the day. We were looked after the whole time without being intruded on, it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely venue but disappointing Afternoon Tea

Sandwiches on thick (toast thickness?) bland white bread - so thick that you could barely taste the filling. Tiny scones came with jam and cream(?) already on and totally forgettable dry cakes. The tea was served in tiny pots so cooled down quickly. The gin was fine although I would have liked to add my own mixer. Overall- disappointing

Venue and staff were lovely as was the gin that was included with our Itison Voucher. The GF bread fell apart when my friend tried to eat it - my own bread was white and very thick sliced - not what I expected and the fillings were not great. The scone was tiny and on the dry side and the sweet treats were dense. Overall we didn't love it.
