We had another lovely stay at The Peat Inn. This was our 3rd time of eating here and 2nd time staying. Food was as delicious as always. Wine was also delicious! Staff very efficient, professional and friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. There are some signs of wear and tear in the suites but this does affect the cleanliness of the shower or bedding. A lick of paint and cleaning of carpets is all that is required to bring it back up to perfection. So sad to hear that the Geoffrey and Kathrine Smeddle are selling up this lovely place. We can only hope the person that buys it continues to run it to their high standards.

The restaurant dining experience was fabulous. We had a table in the main room with the large window. Our waiter was lovely and looked after us very well. We particularly enjoyed the first course with the tempura prawn. It was lush! Every course was delicious. We also stayed in the hotel for the evening. Our room had fresh, new, high quality furnishings. I particularly loved the bed, the headboard, the bedding, all so comfortable. The coffee machine was great too, and the sherry. I didn't think i liked sherry, so I'm now converted. I loved loved the view of the alpacas and the garden, the roses and the hydrangeas. Stunning!! The room service breakfast was splendid too. High quality ingredients, presented beautifully by upbeat staff. 10 out of 10, and really deserved. Thank you Peat Inn, a fabulous night was had by all of our party of 6. xxx

I am reviewing The Peat Inn on behalf of the couple for whom I had bought the voucher.
They thought that it was absolutely wonderful - the food, the service, the setting, the whole experience. They were delighted, virtually beyond description.
What more can I say - 2 discerning diners who could not fault any aspect of their experience.

The Peat Inn is for us one of the "very special occasions" restaurants so we jumped at the opportunity to experience it again at a bit of a reduced price.
The menu offers excellent choices - you choose three and have the option to add a fourth at an additional £10.
The food is excellent and delivered with the usual supreme quality of service from staff who are very, very good at their job.
Some people suggest that food of Michelin quality doesn't satisfy because there's not much of it. Absolute nonsense and that's before you add the amuse bouches, additional savouries and the delicious little sweets. Thoroughly recommended.
