I’ve been to bar and tender before and it was great but this time sadly it was really disappointing. Firstly, when we arrived we were not offered menus and had to ask for these, although we did have vouchers for the main we did want to look at starters. We then ordered the bread selection and this took at least 40 mins to arrive. During the period in the restaurant we did observe a lot of confusion between staff members, like food and drinks being put down at wrong tables and confusion over who was serving which customers. Mains arrived and even though steaks were asked to be very well done there was still some red juice/blood showing on the plate and steak was pink inside so one of the people I was with didn’t really eat there’s. The gravy with the roast dinner was also really sweet and vinegary which was strange

After a bit of a mix up with booking time availability of deal we had a lovely meal but it was only 5/6 thin slices of steak and lots of fries! We had a range of sauces all nice and lovely cheesecake! Nice house wine
Did Not Hit The Usual Standards

Been a,number of times before and always loved it. This time though it was understaffed. Only 2 serving staff and no barman so with good weather and people outside there was a lot of effort serving the drinks that took away from diners. So long waits to take orders and hard to get attention for our drinks etc and I received the wrong sauce but could not get it swapped as staff were so busy. My steak was very fatty but friends was spot on. Would go again due to past visits and not on a sunny day!
