We had a room with a great view of the beach, nice room and bathroom ( good be better with King size bed) good bar menu and great breakfast served in dining room, friendly staff. A nice old hotel with beautiful staircase.

Paid extra for a sea room, room was quite small but great view out of the one window. The deal did state that we had to have our meal that first night but we really were not hungry and they would not let us change it for the next night so feel we did not get the benefit of the meal as left a lot of it. Food was good, not great. Breakfast staff left us waiting long time to get anything and had to be prompted. All in all though, the rooms were clean and had been upgraded so were modern and lovely. The staff were friendly and the location is great. Parking at front of hotel, we managed to all good and yes I would recommend it. Just make sure you're hungry if you have a meal included in your deal.

Great location, good food and nice and clean. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Car parking is limited but managed to get a space in their garages at the back of the hotel.

Always enjoy The Grand Hotel at Tynemouth. Beautiful hotel, staff all really friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely and clean with very comfortable beds. Food lovely
