Enjoyed our afternoon although we had pre-ordered vegetarian for one person and got the normal afternoon tea for both. Also told there was no prosecco on the Itison deal - which there was.

One star for the view, second for the scone

This is the second and last time I will use His Majesty's Theatre for afternoon tea via Itison. The first time was quite good. Unfortunately it was my Mums birthday so the awful food and service made it worse.
The service was worse than the food. My sister had to go and request side plates. Remind the staff after half an hour that we would like our ordered drinks, and no tea was forthcoming either. We needed to ask for that too. I was still drinking water (that I had to get myself from the bar) half way through eating the scone.
Of the 4 finger sandwiches per person, only the chicken mayo was really edible. The humus and dried tomato, ham and pesto sauce, and the cheese mayo were truly awful. I enjoyed the scone, the cold mini sausage roll , and the mini quiche. The custard tart was also nice. The red velvet cake not nice. There were a couple of chocolate sweets but that is the total of the afternoon tea.

Different fillings in the sandwich. something you wouldn't try at home.
And the sweet cakes weren't too sweet..
I think that's why the cake stand was empty...

Lovely afternoon tea, with nice selection of savoury and sweet items. The scones in particular were scrumptious. Very good service from friendly staff. A really good value deal.
