This was an Itison deal, in a lovely wee venue. The staff were lovely. The food, however, was not as expected. The scallops arrived and had to be eaten right away because they were lukewarm, at best. And so it went on. Apparently, dishes are served when ready, which meant one at a time. Nice food, but none of it heated properly. A real shame.

Lovely restaurant. Staff were great and the food was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back. Only downside is the steep flight of stairs to get to the toilet.

Yet another return visit to the Mongoose. Never lets us down with the most imaginative and tasty menu every month. I’ve paid a lot more in Michelin restaurants for the same quality. Superb!
Small plates is brilliant but you’ll end up buying them all!

Small restaurant with amazing delicious tapas sized dishes. Plenty to eat in the 5 plates. For 2 people Very very tasty food cooked to perfection. Front of house guy was really good too. Would defo recommend. This was our 6th visit and we e never been disappointed
