The restaurant was busy which is a great first impression. We were seated at the back of the restaurant beside the serving hatch and staff mingled and chatted here all during our meal. We were expecting a great meal based on the reviews and we were disappointed. The red wine jus over the beef was very very thick. We ate our meal and left to have additional drinks elsewhere

Small restaurant on Bath street. Starters and mains were 10/10. Genuinely couldn’t have been better. My wife had the steak, cooked to perfection and a quality bit of meat, raved about it.
Only minor gripe would be Kelvin lager which is the only lager on draught and is undrinkable. Nobody needs flowery tasting lager. I’m all for supporting local suppliers but it’s so bad I had to leave some of it. They have bottled West. Get that on tap and you’ve solved the problem and still support local.

Restaurant at the Charing Cross end of Bath St, ideal for the Kings Theatre. Small restaurant that could feel claustrophobic if full but when we were there it was a nice balance. Server really friendly and efficient. Good wine selection. Plenty meat on the roast beef, slightly overcooked ie: medium more medium well and medium rare more medium. Good choice of veg, baked veg tasty, charred veg a bit on the hard side. Yorkshire pudding good but would’ve preferred a traditional gravy than a sweet, sticky glaze. 10% service charge standard and remembered to take off pre- payment at booking. Had a lovely meal and on the itison deal, was great value.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was beautiful, the beef was really tender and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Was used to this place being a lot better. But now pretty average.
They also automatically add on tips. Even to the cost of your voucher So the voucher that cost you £50 actually cost you £55. Not great for a bang average restaurant.
