Staying in the local area we were very impressed with the upgrade changes at Laurel Bank Hotel. A very comfortable welcoming hotel, and a big thank you to your lovely staff.

Stayed with a couple of friends for two nights on 14 th and 15 th July. Very brief issue with our booking - sorted quickly and efficiently. staff and managers went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Staff are well trained and could not be more helpful. Food fantastic and huge menu and helpings - chefs know what the are doing and food cooked and presented well. Hotel in central location and is heart of the village. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and the four of us will definately go back. Thank you Laurelbank Staff.

Very busy,asked to be moved as we are both hard of hearing.
Eventually moved. Sandwiches weren't that great.

I have been here before and it was really good so decided to treat my husband but was really disappointed. We were greeted and the girl took our leaflet and told us what table to go to. We sat there for a good 10-15 minutes with nobody coming to us. The place was not busy maybe 5 or 6 tables most of whom already had their food. I had to eventually ask the owner who was clearing a table if we had to go up to the bar, he certainly got the girls moving we had the woman come with the tea and at the same time the girl asking if we wanted a drink. About 5 minutes later our food arrived and it certainly wasn't like the photo you have. My husband had to go up to the bar to ask for a pot of tea when the woman came over she was asked if it was only 1 cup you got and we were informed no as many as you like. That was the last we saw her or the tea. The staff could do with a bit more training like checking to see if the customer was satisfied or needed anything else and staying on the floor instead of through the back.

Not up to their usual standard I’m afraid . I have been a few times for meals and Afternoon teas . I hate leaving a negative review but how can you improve if not told ..We had Afternoon tea . Waiting staff seemed rushed although it wasn’t overly busy. Tea was pored Into the wrong persons coffee mug Twice . Plates were mixed up . The two person middle plate was on the one person stand . One jam and clotted cream missing as well Sausage rolls were cold and truthfully not tasty at all . The server (older lady ) seems she didn’t know what she was doing .Not rude to a point but very dismissive when the drinks order didn’t arrive either .
