Went on itison voucher and agreed to pay £10 to enable us to have sunday roast. The starters were nice, hubby had prawns with melon, he said was very nice. I had cauliflower tempura with chili dipping sauce, was ok.
Sunday roast lamb was appalling , couldn’t eat it very tough and steak nice wouldn’t cut the meat either . Yorkshire pudding was cold & very small, looked like frozen packet ones. Mash was nice and was the gravy..a couple of small diced “roast” potatoes were okay (that’s when you found them)! Veg was mediocre , all in all disappointing .
When i complained, i was offered something else, but, that would have been another wait.
The final bill, charging me £3.50 for the drink on itison voucher & the extra £10 for the roast which was returned to the kitchen… I was advised the chef tested the lamb and found the complaint justified , took the roast lamb off the menu.
i have eaten here on previous occasions , so hopefully Sunday was a “bad hair day “..I still have one voucher left to use here 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Excellent value for money

Took a friend we both had the wings & steak pie which were delicious. I chose the cookie dough cheesecake which wasn’t to my taste or like any cheesecake I’ve had so wouldn’t pick again my friend was happy with her sundae tho.
Food fantastic, staff friendly and chatty. Lovely.
