I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. Having spent the morning at the hospital visiting my wife's seriously I'll brother we were looking forward to chilling out at this venue and enjoying a wee break. I thought this would be a positive mexican tasting experience but sadly from arrival it was not. Firstly we were asked for the voucher from itison before being allowed in,which I showed,as beforehand I had taken a screenshot on my phone of it,to save having to hunt through all my emails to find it at the restaurant. Unfortunately this wasn't suitable for the receptionist and she needed me to find the original email, there were a few people behind us so I asked if it was possible to enter and sit down whilst searching through my phone, she was not happy at all. When we got in she directed us to the lowest chairs I have ever seen outwith a primary school, as I'm 6ft 8 I asked if we could sit somewhere else, she huffed then pointed at a normal booth then disappeared. There were a few menus on the table so we didn't know what to order from or if she would be back, we sat a watched while a guy took other people's orders then started clearing and setting tables, after a few minutes we were going to head for the door but the guy arrived and asked if were being attended to, he then explained the menu and took our drinks order. Our first dish arrived which was a large ramekin of dip with a few tortilla chips to dip, it was a struggle to deal with as it was so small to share. The cocktail was good if small and my wifes prosecco was tiny and served in a martini glass for the price of a full bottle. The large dish chicken meat was tasteless with all the flavour left in the burnt skin which left a horrible taste in my mouth for the rest of the day. Before we left we asked for the bill, after a few minutes waiting again we put our jackets on and were about to leave, finally the blonde waitress returned then questioned us about the itison voucher, we advised we had shown a screen shot at desk, then original email, then voucher on itison website, then we gave a pin code thing to the guy, as we were at the the waitress asked again about the voucher so we gave her the pin code too. We both felt so harassed by this girl with her face tripping her. We were then given the bill and paid an extra £18 for water, a tiny glass of prosecco and a service charge. We calculated in the car that we could have had two full courses each and a cocktail at our favourite thai restaurant and still been £20 better off plus not hungry. What a waste of money and our time it wasn't an experience I would wish on anyone!

Really enjoyed the food. Service was great. I only rate it so high because of what was paid. I believe its a very overpriced venue.
