• Location and staff were amazing. Plenty of space and all the amenities you would require were there.

  The place was lovely and clean, the staff from the maintenance team to the reception team were friendly and helpful. Great location just a ten minute walk to most places. The place and staff were vey dog friendly although we felt £20 a night was a bit expensive and £15 a day for parking was expensive but on a whole I would highly recommend.

• Lovely hotel close to city centre

  We had a great two-night stay at Roomzzz Hotel in York last weekend using an Itison voucher.

  We were initially a little concerned about parking, as it mentioned spaces were limited. However, we arrived early and found plenty available—even on a bank holiday Saturday. There are around 50 spaces in total, so it felt more than sufficient.
  We arrived before check-in time but were able to pre-check in and make use of the handy lockers to store our luggage. The reception area was a lovely surprise, with complimentary coffee available 24 hours a day, a small shop, and plenty of seating both inside and outside.

  Our room was very spacious and clean, with a modern bathroom and excellent water pressure in the shower. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well.

  The windows looked out onto the river, so we woke up to the peaceful sound of ducks. It feels like you’re away from the city centre when you step outside into the surrounding greenery and nearby park, yet it’s only a 5–10 minute walk into the centre.

  We also discovered a lovely little high street just five minutes’ walk in the opposite direction—Bishopthorpe Road. We’d highly recommend Robinsons Café for breakfast, and The Pig & Pastry is also supposed to be excellent.
  This will definitely be top of our list for future stays in York—great location, convenient, and very good value for money.
