Very relaxing stay.

To celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary I booked a stay at Thanestone House. On checking in we were given a voucher for 2 Prosecco drinks. We had our 17 week old puppy with us and had booked a pet friendly room. We had our meals in the comfortable bar room. The staff were super friendly especially Owen on reception and Lachlan on the bar. Great really hot meals. Highly recommend.

Pleasant break in a hotel.

The hotel is located in a lovely position and all the staff are polite and helpful.
The room was a little dark and the shower in the bathroom leaked onto floor.
The meal in the restaurant was tasty though the service was very slow waiting over 50 mins for our first course and another half hour afterwards for a desert.
Breakfast was satisfactory but again had to wait on items being topped up - no bacon, no eggs, croissants and pastries finished etc.
