Good food, great service in stylish, relaxed setting

Comfortable and stylish bar /dining area at entrance for informal food and drinks. Good buzz from guests, visitors coming and going.
We had an Itison offer for 2 courses + cocktails. The bar style food was tasty - favourites were the smoked salmon starter and the cheeseburger. Portions were generous. The 2 cocktails we had were very good (Negroni + Old fashioned)
Service was excellent - friendly, heloful and efficient even tho the area was busy. We felt welcome and well looked after.
There was a good selection of drinks - lots of cocktails, beers, wines etc but wine a bit pricey compared to similar bar/restaurants in the west end area. -
Food was good but was a bit gloomy

My husband and I enjoyed our meal apart from the sour dough strips that came with the Camembert. They were exceedingly hard. I did mention this at the time.
