Lovel surrounding in quite a unique venue worth a visit

The accommodation was lovely and as expected, the palace is amazing and staff were generally very friendly and helpful. We received a bottle of Prosecco in the room and when we enquired about brining this down to seating area we were told no it’s for your room only. This was very strange as this is usually a very reasonable thing to be able to do and did put us off slightly.

We enjoyed our stay. It’s been well maintained for such an ancient building. The Christmas decorations were lovely and the staff were all nice. The grounds look great. As the weather was awful we didn’t get to enjoy them so we must go back at a different time of year. Breakfast was very good. It’s not easy to keep buffet food hot.
