- Situated atop its own terraced gardens, the hotel boasts stunning panoramic views of Rothesay Bay and the Cowal Peninsula
- The building dates back to 1892, when it was used as a hydrotherapy retreat
- Children permitted in family rooms; room upgrade required. Children aged 0 - 4 stay free of charge, 5 - 12 can stay at a supplementary charge of £15 including breakfast; payable directly. 12+ are classed as adults.

It’s a nice hotel, very prominent on arrival on the ferry. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
If taking a car, there’s not too many parking places so you either climb a hill or 90 steps if you have to leave your car on the main road.
The rooms are comfortable but bathrooms can do with a bit of upgrade. -

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel once again . Lovely view from our room . Very good breakfast both mornings plenty of choice . Plenty of tea and coffee in our room . The evening meal of fish and chips was truly uneatable , warm chips , fish was raw in middle , no veg on plate , very disappointed that we went to another restaurant for Monday nights dinner . Staff very friendly and helpful .
