Our stay at Lumley Castle was excellent. Great location. Staff very helpful. Plenty of areas to have a quiet drink especially the inner he court yard.
The big issue was the £25 dinner allowance per person. Normally we would expect to get a main and either a starter or dessert. Our mains cost more than £25 , I think there was only one main which was just under £25.
The food in the restaurant was excellent. I believe a more realistic allowance would be £35 - £40 per person.
