We had a lovely weekend at the Garth hotel and a lot of things were good about it. It was newly refurbished and the rooms and bathrooms were nicely done up. Bed was comfy and it was great having 2 armchairs in the room as well. Breakfast was good, especially the cooked items. Evening meal could have been better and we wouldn't choose to eat from that menu again. Our other issue was the size of the bath towels which were really small. Grantown is a lovely town and a great base for the cairngorm national park. Loads of lovely scenery, places to go and things to do.

Arrived on a dark, wet and windy night to a really warm and welcoming stay at The Garth Hotel.

From my initial emails Jason was extremely helpful and when we arrived he was there to greet us with a warm welcome.
The staff were all very attentive and the food was excellent.
Our room was bigger than expected and comfortable.
The hotel is old and there were a few broken panes in one of our windows but the windows had blinds and heavy curtains so wasn't a problem.
We have 2 dogs who were given treats and lovely grounds to walk them around.
